I've watched the first episode, and I really liked it. I think I'll watch the rest. I admit I cringed when you mentioned Prokop in Bakersfield. I grew up there, and there are some pockets of LGBTQ+ friendly folks, but it is a deeply conservative place, too. It's my home town, so there are parts I love and remember fondly, but I really didn't realize how conservative it was until I left and got some time and miles between the city and me. (Though I can still give you excellent food recs if you're ever there...)
